Install the Keplr browser extension

Keplr ships as an extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, and other Chromium-based browsers. Pick whichever you use daily — the wallet works identically on all of them.

Avoid mobile-only browsers for the registration flow: the trading-key wizard on /app/settings needs the desktop extension. You can still view your dYdX wallet on mobile later via the Keplr mobile app.

Go to https://www.keplr.app/get and click the link for your browser. The page redirects to the official extension store listing — install from there, never from a random third-party link.

Verify the publisher is "Chainapsis" before confirming. There have been clones of Keplr on stores in the past; the genuine one is published by Chainapsis Inc.

After install, pin the extension to your toolbar (Chrome: puzzle icon → pin). You'll click this every time the trading-key wizard or dydx.trade asks for a signature.

Open Keplr once and let it finish the welcome screen. The next guide walks through importing or creating the wallet you'll use.
