Import or create a wallet in MetaMask
Either import an existing 12/24-word recovery phrase, or generate a fresh wallet inside MetaMask. Both produce a 0x... EVM address Botely can target on Hyperliquid.
Import an existing wallet
If you already trade on Hyperliquid or have an EVM wallet you want to reuse, import the recovery phrase. From MetaMask's first-run screen pick "Import an existing wallet" โ enter your 12 or 24 words โ set a new password (this protects the local extension, not the wallet itself).
Double-check the address that appears after import matches what you expected. The recovery phrase derives the address deterministically โ if it doesn't match, you typed a word wrong.
Create a fresh wallet
If you're new to EVM, pick "Create a new wallet". MetaMask shows you the recovery phrase exactly once: write the 12 words on paper, in order, before continuing. Never store the phrase in a screenshot, cloud note or password manager.
Verify by re-entering the phrase when MetaMask asks. Done โ your account address (0x...) is now ready to use on Hyperliquid.
What the wallet controls
The same 12/24 words derive your Ethereum, Arbitrum, Hyperliquid and any other EVM-chain account. One recovery phrase, many networks. The address is the same across chains.
Botely's wizard will read your address from MetaMask and store only the agent-wallet private key (encrypted) โ never your seed. See the agent-wallet security model guide for the full picture.
